Training Center Manager Richard Anthony Arcaya spearheaded a bespoke in-house leadership training program, a joint effort between HRD-TC and IQA, aiming to improve the skills of workers. The training runs from March-May 2014 for the 853 Foremen and Leadmen of the Tsuneishi Group of companies.

Work Design Project Chairman Engr. Alan Yee, Deputy General Manager of Production Planning Department charted the scope and intentions of the project last January 6, 2014 through assigning accountable people for their respective deliverables to ensure these are achieved.

2014 COMPANY OBJECTIVES & EMPLOYEES’ GENERAL MEETING

Hitoshi Kono, President of Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (Cebu), Inc. presented the Company-wide objectives for 2014 on January 6 at the Training Center.

The presentation kicked-off with an introduction of the Tsuneishi Group Companies’ businesses in Shipbuilding, Shipping and Environment & Service. Few of 2013’s newsworthy topics of Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Group were discussed including the delivery of the 100th ship of Tsuneishi Group(Zhoushan) Shipbuilding, Inc. in May and the ATP (Paraguay) 12-barges fleet in September. Other advancement projects such as the joint development of auxiliary heat recovery unit with Miura in July, and the new grounds in operation with the establishment of Maritime Innovation Japan in April and Wakamatsu Steel Electric Furnace, which started its operation in June were also mentioned.

SHIP LAUNCHING CEREMONY OPEN TO PUBLIC on February 5 and 6, 2014

Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (Cebu), Inc. holds launching ceremonies at the Tsuneishi Factory slipways and building docks that are open to the public. The next ceremony will take place on February 5, 2014(Wednesday) at 11:00am and February 6 (Thursday) at 5:40am. There is no need to make reservations for this event. The starting time may be changed without prior notice due to tides and weather conditions. Please arrive at the venue at least 20 minutes before the starting time. Furthermore, please do not wear high-heeled shoes or sandals due to safety concerns. We look forward to welcoming you to the ceremony.

Tsuneishi Foundation donates bags to Balamban athletes and officials

Tsuneishi Foundation (Cebu), Inc. donated 565 back pack bags to the student-athletes of Balamban Municipality both in high school and elementary level including officials who were part of the delegation in the Cebu Provincial Meet 2014 that kicked-off last January 26, 2014 in Cebu Technological University Oval in Argao, Cebu.
