Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (Cebu), Inc. was awarded with the Highest Distinction together with other two nominees, the Aboitiz Group of Companies, and the Ayala Group of Companies during the event of the Cebu Business Month (CBM) entitled "A TRIBUTE TO CEBU'S BUSINESS AND INVESTORS" night on June 20 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Cebu City.

Tsuneishi plants trees for WED

CEBU, Philippines, 21 of June 2014- Tsuneishi Foundation (Cebu), Inc. (TFCI), the philanthropic arm of Tsuneishi Group of companies planted 1,500 indigenous seedlings in the mountain side of Laray III, Buanoy, Balamban, Cebu.

The tree planting activity is done annually every month of June in celebration of World Environment Day (WED) with this year’s theme focused on “Small Islands and Climate Change” carrying the official slogan “Raise Your Voice Not The Sea Level”. Around 120 employee-volunteers participated and took a bold step in making a difference.

“Activities that concerns our environment such as this is conducted annually by the foundation. This is also one way of raising global awareness amongst employees, local community, and the like,” said TFCI President Mr. Hitoshi Kono.

Since the establishment of TFCI in 2010, the foundation already planted around 29,000 seedlings with a survival rate of 95%.
